Mustapha Cassiem (2017W) has cemented his place as one of South Africa's best hockey players. At the 2024 Western Province Hockey Awards, he was honored with the title of Best Indoor Men's Player in the Western Cape and received the coveted WP Indoor Player of the Year Award. This recognition follows an impressive year of performances that included leading Western Province to dominance at key tournaments and contributing four goals in a marquee match against KZN Raiders during the Indoor Hockey IPT.

Cassiem’s achievements this season underscore his growing reputation, as he also serves as a key figure in the South African Indoor Hockey Men's team. The national squad, currently ranked 7th globally, is preparing for the African Indoor Cup of Nations and the 2025 Indoor Hockey World Cup in Croatia, where Cassiem's talent will undoubtedly be pivotal

Congratulations to Mustapha Cassiem for representing Western Province and South Africa with such excellence. We look forward to following his progress during the busy December and January period, as well as his continued journey on the international stage.
