Brian Mannion (1979S) hands over stamp collection to Tom Fair (Past Staff)

Brian, Siobhan, Patrick and David were honoured guests of the Bishops Museum as they presented Brian's Philately Collection to Tom Fair, who was the teacher in charge of Philatelics when Brian was at school.

The collection is now called: ‘The Brian Mannion Philately Collection’ and has been inventorized in the Archives.

De Paul Murray (School Archivist) being an avid collector with a collection gathered over the years, donated his own collection, into the Archives for it to be curated there, as well, and for the school to use in future years.

Not only will these collections be correctly curated, but they will also give us a chance to display and revive this important extra-curricular activity at school.
