Two very special Chrismas Carol events were held earlier this month.  These were the UK carol service held in Central London (organised by Nicky Bicket (1973F), and the Bishops Carols hosted by the charismatic Richard Cock (1966,O).

The Bishops Carols in Cape Town

The annual Christmas Carols at Bishops took place in the Memorial Chapel on the 16th of December and proved once again why it is an event that should always be in one's diary.

Young and old(er) took part in a wonderful evening. Richard Cock's sharp sense of humour and amazing musical talent kept everyone in awe and entertained for the whole evening.

He brought a number of special friends to perform with him.  They included the incredible tenor, Siyabonga Maqungo, the usual massed choirs and the Cape Town Festival Orchestra.

Bishops families and friends came along to enjoy the evening and many very generously donated money toward the ODU Bursary Fund

Both services were warmly received and left ODs feeling that special festive glow.
