The annual derby between Bishops and St Andrews at the end of June was once again a wonderful and positive experience for everyone who attended.  The Headmaster of St Andrew's, Mr Tom Hamilton recalled the long history between the schools, Old Andreans and ODs in his welcoming address.

Rugby matches started early in the morning, and the main fixture of the First XV sides took place in the afternoon as the headline event.  Bishops won 48-39.  The 2nd XV's also won 28-26 and the U16A's had a narrow loss 14-15.

After a great day of sport, there was an informal get together at The Highlander Pub (next to the main field), known for it's warm atmosphere and wonderful supper menu.  Supporters and their families enjoyed socialising over a tipple or soft drink. OD Ambassador, Dr Paul Murray was part of the day's events and was a friendly, familiar face to everyone who came up from Cape Town.

Martin Bey (1990B), ODU Chairman and Steve Ciolli (1993W), ODU Vice-Chairman, both travelled up to Grahamstown to be part of the event and certainly added to the camaraderie between ODs.
