Mr Vernon Head OD addressed Lingua Franca today on a topic about finding the world’s most rare bird. Mr Head also explained how he came to be interested in ornithology - he was inspired by his father who took him bird watching and also the time in Founders House as a border where he saw the resident owls. He explained how he was inspired by Peter Steyn OD. Mr Head presented a very stimulating talk to the students. He kindly donated copies of his books to the library.
