ODs Around the World

Last year, ODs around the world turned in a blistering performance in the 2020 Thames Hare & Hounds Cross Alumni Country Race. Then the 68th annual Thames Hare & Hounds Cross Country Alumni was virtual with runners running wherever in the world they could find open space. But the results were real. 16 ODs competed, and the team came 5th out of 32 - our best ever. And the best non-UK alumni team (although the only one).

This year, fingers crossed, on Saturday 11th December, the race is back on at Wimbledon Common and at least one OD, Ant Marten (S, 1990) is flying in from abroad (Chicago) to help the team improve on its 2020 record performance. We're hoping that Brett Ormrod (M, 2007) who came in first for the ODs last year will be back this year.

Returning with the on-common race are the very real post-run refreshments which details will be circulated closer the time.

To enter, click HERE. If you haven't registered on OpenTrack, you will need to. It's free. Then head for the Thames Hare & Hounds 69th Alumni Race 2021 and enter your details. Where it asks for Club/School, type in Bishops and then select BCTSA from the options. And then complete your entry by payng your £7.50 entry fee. You're allowed to run with non-OD friends, buy only your results are counted in the team score.

There is honour at stake, but more importantly, a great run (only 5 miles) and loads of fun.

Rowan Nicholls (O, 2010) is, as always, our fearless and energeic captain, so any queries should be directed to him. Or to Caelim Parkes (O, 1990).  rowan.charles.nicholls@gmail.com / caelim.parkes@gmail.com

So lets get a great team out for this year. 16 OD runners is the number to beat!
