Jacob Lazarus-Fried (2024M) waiting to go to Cambridge to study law in October this year, is using his gap year to focus on practical experience in law and community work.
He with OD Caden Chuang (2024M) is building VulaLearn (www.vulalearn.com), a free student-led platform that they launched.
To date they have a team of 10, and offer CAPS-aligned notes, NBT prep, university application support— all completely free and already used by thousands of SA learners.
In addition, they run regular sessions with learners in Langa through partnerships with LEAP Science & Maths School and VUSA Rugby & Learning Academy and have recently started working with the NGO Shukuru to help students directly with university prep and career guidance.
It's great to see our ODs working in areas such as these, assisting students for their future careers and ventures!
