ODs Around the World |
We congratulate Daniel Tate (2016G) on being selected as the 2021 Bishops Rhodes Scholar. While some train an uncomplimentary spotlight on Rhodes the man, Rhodes the Scholarship has lost none of its allure and value. Even among those who while accepting it, would nevertheless prefer to see it go.
Daniel comes up next year to pursue an MPhil in International Relations. He says, "I have yet to choose my college for Oxford next year - I’m still consulting with quite a few people on the decision. I’ve also got a session scheduled with Rhodes Trust in November to discuss it further. I can tell you right now that I am leaning towards smaller colleges. But still, need to put a lot of thought into it!"
We welcome him to the UK branch and look forward to meeting him at our functions - which hopefully will be permitted before he graduates.
