Anthony Desmond Hare passed away in Tokai Hospital on 19th June 2021 as a result of heart complications arising from a Covid-19 infection. 

Anthony (Tony) was born in Kalk Bay on 4th October 1937. His early childhood was spent in Kalk Bay, and he attended Bishops, completing Matric in 1955. After a brief stint in the South African Air Force, Tony emigrated North, first to Northern Rhodesia (as it was then called), before moving south and settling in what was to become Zimbabwe. After a short time in Mutare, he moved to Harare where he met and married Gaenor and had two sons (Robert, 1985S) and Graeme, (1987S). 

Tony married Prue in 1995 and, after spending some of his retirement in Zimbabwe, he and Prue moved to Cape Town, settling first in Bakoven, then Greyton, and finally Hermanus. He is survived and missed by his wife Prue, his sons Robert sand Graeme, his step-daughter Nadine and his grandchildren, Stuart and Millie.
