Today 08 May 2026 Bishops Pre-Prep and students from the Vusa Rugby and Learning Academy in Cape Town, held a combined fun sports day event on the Range at Bishops.
Hundreds of parents and grand-parents turned out in support.
ODA Paul Murray went to watch, and met with ODs from the 90s, including Jamie Bracher (1998K) to whom he presented a school assignment that Jamie had done in Paul's history room in 1994. It took the form of a research project on family history. Paul and Jamie recollected that time, with his father Terry, mother Mona and his sibling Lauren. In those days it was called Std 6, now Grade 8.
Paul invited Jamie to come to the ODU to address his A-Levels at The Mitre. Jamie explained his tertiary studies being a History major at UCT followed by a business qualification at the Business School.
Jamie's son Felix attends the Pre-Prep.
Jamie is one of many ODs that now have boys at the Prep and Pre-Prep. Zee's Coffee shop at The Mitre is a great place for ODs to connect and engage, after dropping off their sons at school.
