When Bishop Gray purchased Woodlands, he set the first buildings in place with the mountain in sight.  The construction of School House followed a similar pattern.  Today, we have The Raymond Ackerman Centre (the Woodlands Pavilion and The Mitre) following.  There is a theory that when the architect built UCT, who was Joseph Solomon, he used the architectural lines from his school, and particularly, his House, for the disign.  The architect Luke Scott, in designing the new buildings, might have taken the whole landscape into account for The Mitre.
