ODs enjoy meeting their Housemaster whilst attending the meeting of the Owl Club in Cape Town.

Two Foundershousians Richard Morris (1970F) and Rupert Pardoe (1973F) enjoy their time spent with their Housemaster Brian de Kock (1952).

Every Third Tuesday the Owl Club meets in Cape Town. It has been doing this since 1896.  One of it's visitors was Mark Twain.  Down the years hundreds of ODs have been members and scores still are.  The nature of the meetings include dinner served, speeches and musical items.

Brian de Kock is certainly one of its longest-serving members, which comes as no surprise when one considers his ability for long service.  He first came to Bishops as a Preppie in 1943, matriculating from Ogilvie House in 1953; and then after a brief time away, came back to his old school to teach Latin; after which he served as the OD Secretary until his retirement in 1996.  He is currently one of the Vice Presidents of the ODU and is a regular visitor to the ODU and never misses a reunion.

In the photograph Brian is with two of his students from Founders House, Richard Morris and Rupert Pardoe.  Richard is a former President of the Owl Club and Rupert is currently being proposed as a member.
