Dear ODs and Friends,
You are cordially invited to a series of talks at The Mitre Lounge at the ODU building at Bishops, the building as you enter Bishops on the right, with secure parking.
Wednesday 11 June - “Reflections on visits to Milan, city of fashion and style … and how to make the best of your next visit”. – Paul Murray
Wednesday 25 June - “Roma la Città Eterna, its extraordinary places”. Paul Murray
Wednesday 30 July - “Get to Venice before tourist visits are restricted". Paul Murray
Wednesday 27 August – “The SAS Assegaai (submarine) with an OD connection, First Lieutenant was Martyn Trainor (1961G), later Vice-Admiral and Second-in-Charge of the SA Navy”. Sydney Cullis
Wednesday 03 September – “The Diocesan College, Early Development of the Woodlands Estate - Architects and the Architecture”. Geoffrey de Wet.
Paul Murray is the ODA – he studied Italian formally and has travelled may times to these places.
Sydney Cullis is an OD – he regularly presents well-researched topics of interest.
Geoffrey de Wet is an OD – he is an architect and who speaks widely on topics of interest in his field.
Tea will be served at all the talks starting at 10.30am; the talks start at 11.00am – 12pm with discussion afterwards. All talks are presented on the smart screen & richly illustrated.
