Rich, Shane, Gareth and Matt all met at Coterie in Dubai to watch the Springboks claim the next trophy for their Cabinet, the Rugby Championship.

All are/have been involved in Barrelhouse Rugby Club, a Dubai based club, that Matt is Chairman of.  So the four of them and 50 other Barrelhouse members & wags enjoyed the Springboks rolling into victory!

Whilst the number of ODs in the UAE is relatively small, the South African community is huge and vibrant. The level of support and feeling that you get from the fellow Saffa's makes Dubai really feel like a home away from home.

Since all are involved in the club, they see each other frequently, but the next big event in the UAE is the Dubai Rugby 7's. Matt Turner (2006W) will be joining the foursome whilst playing for Barrelhouse's Barefoot International Vets Invitational team.

So if any other OD's find themselves in Dubai for the 7's, have a look out for the boys in pink, and say hi!
