The Class of 1959 had their reunion at the Mitre on Friday 29 November 2024.  It was a special occasion, with a chapel service, tour and luncheon.

In the feature photograph above, from left to right are:

Rosemary and Robin Borden (1959G), Anthony Coombe (1959S), Annabel and Carl Schonborn (1959F;PM 1960, Senior Prefect); Graham Parkhurst (1959M), Michael Cherry (1959W, PM 1960),  Mike Taylor (1959G), Bishop Geoff Davies (1959W), Carole Taylor, Peter Fiske (1959F, PM 1960), Di Wares, Michael Shand (1959O/S), Graeme Wares (1959G), Dave Evans (1959W), Doreen Shand, Tim Wisdom (1959W, PM 1960) & Carol Opie.

Absent from the photograph is Kate Davies who organised the luncheon.

After their chapel service which was led by Bishop Geoff, the leavers and their partners enjoyed tea on the lawns outside the chapel, after which a tour was conducted specially for them.  This included the new stained-glass windows in the Brooke Chapel.

It was truly inspirational to accompany the 59 Leavers who regaled us with special stories of their time at Bishops under the principalship of Mr Hubert John Kidd.
