Sunday evening was a good time for a number of parents from the Prep School to gather in the Rick Skeeles Pavilion, to watch the opening of the World Cup Rugby on the big screen.  They came with their families, for a braai.

SA playing Scotland ended in a victory for SA to go to the next round.

In between watching the 'big screen' with commentator Nick Mallet expounding on the game, there was a lot to catch up on.  Paul Murray enjoyed chatting to a number of ODs who were there.

One was reminded of the great Rick Skeels an icon at Bishops himself Head of White House in 1966, and a much loved Prep School teacher after whom this great facility is named.

ODs present were:

Marc David Hoeks (1986O), who started in the Prep School in 1974. Marc Kleye (1988F), who started in the Prep School as a member of Birt House (when it was a House in the Prep) in 1982.  Jason Grever (1995W) who started in Birt House in 1991, the same year as the ODA came to Bishops.  Jason subsequently moved as a boarder to White House.  George Turck (1997B), Paul was his Housemaster.

There was lots to dicuss, a wonderful moment of ODs connecting and engaging.  A great vibe, in anticipation of SA doing well in the World Cup.

The Rick Skeeles Pavilion, a great venue for families to meet at Bishops, and for ODs to connect and engage!  It certainly was the case this evening when ODs reminisced about their time at school.
